Dr. Sebastian Lattuga pursued his undergraduate studies at St. John’s University and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Stony Brook University Medical Center School of Medicine. After completing his education, he gained experience through his postgraduate training. At Mount Sinai Medical Center, he undertook a research fellowship and an internship in general surgery. He then completed his training with a residency in orthopedic surgery at University Hospital Stonybrook and an adult and pediatric spine fellowship at the University of Florida’s Jackson Memorial Hospital. Actively developing his career in spinal surgery, Dr. Lattuga maintains membership with many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the Medical Society of the State of New York, the Nassau County Medical Society, and the Suffolk County Medical Society. In addition, he recently joined the lacrosse franchise Long Island Lizards as the team’s spine surgeon. In addition, he has performed spinal surgery on a renowned NFL player.
